Open Enrollment

As a member of a Medicaid managed care plan, you have the option to change the plan that you have selected within the first three months of your membership or annually, thereafter, during your region's open enrollment month, which is August.

    To help you choose the Managed Care Plan or MCP that is right for you, think about the following questions while also reading the information included in this mailing.

    After you have considered the questions below, call the Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Managed Care Enrollment Center (MCEC) at 1-800-605-3040 to speak to an Enrollment Counselor or visit them on-line at www.ohiomcec.com. The MCEC will answer any questions you have and help you select the Managed Care Plan of your choice.

     

  • Do you or any family member have a doctor that you want to deliver your care?

  • Do you or any family member have a health problem, which needs treatment by a specific type of doctor or Ssspecialist?

  • Do you have a hospital that you would like to deliver your care?

  • Are you or any family member pregnant and wanting to be under the care of a specific doctor?

  • Do you or any member of your family need help with transportation to the doctor?

  • Remember, when you receive a notice in the mail that tells you it is time to choose your managed care plan (MCP), simply call the Managed Care Enrollment Center at the toll-free number below to choose your MCP. If YOU do not choose, an MCP will be chosen for you.
