As a member of a Medicaid managed care plan, you have the option to change the plan that you have selected within the first three months of your membership or annually, thereafter, during your region's open enrollment month, which is September.

MCPs may have more hospitals in other counties on their provider panel. Please contact the MCP's toll-free number for a current list of all panel hospitals in your area. Remember that doctors can only perform surgeries or deliver babies at certain hospitals, so be sure to ask your doctor which hospital he/she can send you to.
Some MCPs provide more services than the regular Medicaid fee-for-service (FFS) program offers. To request a full list of additional services offered by an MCP, please call the MCP's toll-free number.
* All MCPs provide annual
eye exams for children.
Some MCPs offer transportation assistance in addition to what may be available through your local CDJFS. You must contact the MCP’s Member Services to arrange for transportation.
To help you choose the Managed Care Plan or MCP that is right for you, think about the following questions while also reading the information included in this mailing. After you have considered the questions below, call the Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Managed Care Enrollment Center (MCEC) at 1-800-605-3040 to speak to an Enrollment Counselor or visit them on-line at www.ohiomcec.com. The MCEC will answer any questions you have and help you select the Managed Care Plan of your choice.
Remember, when you receive a notice in the mail that tells you it is time to choose your managed care plan (MCP), simply call the Managed Care Enrollment Center at the toll-free number below to choose your MCP. If YOU do not choose, an MCP will be chosen for you.
